To make sure my murals last for several lifetimes, I always apply a clear coat as the final step. This coat seals in all the paint and protects it from damage. Although this mural is inside an office, it is still very important to protect it from air, dust, and unexpected spills.
Before I apply it, take a look at this pan across the finished mural. I’m so excited that it’s done — I love how it looks! Do you have a favourite part of this mural?
In this next time-lapse, you can watch as I brush the clear coat across each mural panel. It’s a pretty fun process and really makes the colors pop!
Here are some more images of the final look and the clear coat process. Now that the final stage is done, the mural is ready to deliver! I’m so proud of this artwork!
