I’m rugged up again today to work on Trompe Moongate in the cold morning air. I started by tweaking a few small features on the fishing villages that I completed yesterday. Then I added something really exciting, an emerald, green glaze across the water.
A glaze is a transparent coat across the existing paint. By adding this coat, the water was transformed into a beautiful gloss, making it look even more like the real Hạ Long Bay. Check out how the mural looks up close in the video below.
Today I also got a chance to start painting the jetty in the foreground. To see that added to the mural, check out the time-lapse below!
The image below shows a close-up of the jetty so far. Stay tuned for more updates as I hope the jetty will be completed later this week as well.
